Okay, so this article was linked on BoingBoing, and some of the comments there made me so angry that... well, I don't know. I was just very angry.
But I wanted to say, because it always bears saying, that that story is wonderful*. Absolutely wonderful. And I love that love can exist beyond gender and sex and who we are supposed to be, and that the wish to start a family means so much more than other people's prejudices, and that people can do what's right for them and fits for them rather than trying to fit someone else's definition of normal.
Or something like that.
*It's not wonderful that people are heteronormative* wankers. The fact that they are makes me very sad. :(
